NebraskaWell all those rumors about defensive line coach and master recruiter John Blake going to North Carolina are true.  John Blake is leaving the Huskers after three football seasons to join Butch Davis’ staff at North Carolina.

Although UNC hasn’t officially announced the hiring, it’s believed that Blake will be the Tar Heels’ defensive line coach and assistant head coach. Davis recently was hired to replace John Bunting.

We can only hope that the recruits that Blake got to verbally committ stand by their committment and don’t jump ship to other schools including North Carolina.

Thanks Coach Blake for what you have done in your short stay in Lincoln.
