NebraskaCoach Callahan released great info regarding the injuries to Marlon Lucky and Lydon Murtha today.  Both players have minor injuries and will be ready to go in the fall, and should be able to have a great summer of workouts.

It was a big scare with Lucky and Murtha went down.  Murtha went down with an apparent ankle injury early in the Spring Game and Lucky early in the 4th quarter which looked like it could have been a terrible ACL injury.  Lucky only has a mild strain of his MCL in his knee and it will just need some rest to get better.  Wow, we can only imagine if it would have been a ACL.

The injury to Lucky would have left the Huskers with Glenn and Major Culbert at running back right now.  Would have meant for sure that Marcus Mendoza or incoming freshman Quentin Castille would have got early playing time as well.  Right now, they both might not redshirt as it stands, but I would love for them to be able to and get a full season in of conditioning and learning the playbook.
