NebraskaThe Nebraska Cornhuskers got a verbal commitment from another player in Texas over the weekend as Alonzo Whaley commited while on his official visit.  Whaley said he pretty much had his mind made up even before stepping foot on campus, that is how well of a bond he had with the coaching staff.

Whaley will probably start out as a linebacker, but could also give the fullback position a try.  One interesting thing about Whaley is that he has a younger brother that is also supposed to be pretty good and will be in the 2009 class.  This could only help out recruiting his younger brother if the Huskers are interested.

Congrats on joining the Big Red family Mr. Whaley!
