The Nebraska Football team and possibly the Nebraska Baseball team have will have a new player on the roster in 2009 after wide receiver Khiry Cooper accepted a scholarship offer to join the Husker football team. Cooper has also talked with Mike Anderson about playing on the baseball team.
It came down to Arkansas or Nebraska, and after talking with the coaches at both schools, Copper decided the University of Nebraka was the best option for him. Cooper is expected to be be drafted in the next baseball draft in the first 10 rounds, but says he would rather play both sports in college before trying professional baseball.
Welcome to the Big Red Family Mr. Cooper!

Another very good athlete with great character. Man if just had more stars behind his name.LOL This is exciting because all of the great Nebraska teams has character, leadership and determination. I think Wistrom was about 230-240 when he came in and entered the draft about 275. Dobson worked with Gallery and he went from about 245 to about 325. To be clear, Khiry isn’t that type of athlete and won’t be looking to be a 260 pound brute but with the support and facilities he can definately get to where he wants to be. And for me, I hope that means sub 4.4 speed with ripped lean musle on his frame. Okay I’ll be honest, 4.3 speed with a lean physique. He definately has a great attitude, he has character and I hope he has the work-ethic to match. I wish him the best, I’ll be pulling for him to succeed and I think he’ll be a strong addition to their class.
