The Nebraska coaching staff received a very nice telephone call on Wednesday night as tight end J.T. Kerr committed to the Nebraska Football program and the University of Nebraska. Kerr is rated as a three star prospect and will be coming to Lincoln from San Diego.
Kerr chose the Huskers over scholarships offers from Arizona and San Diego State. Florida, Maryland, UCLA, and Oregon were also talking with him about scholarships.
I really like this commit as he stands in at 6-4 and 230 lbs as a senior in high school. He has the body to step right in and contribute for the Huskers in my opinion. I expect him to pack on another 10-15 lbs of muscle when he arrives in Lincoln to help out with his blocking however.
Welcome to the Husker family Mr. Kerr!
