Hello Husker fans! Football season is coming up soon and I can’t wait! We now know the game times for the first three games of the season which are all set to be shown on a pay per view basis.
The opening game of the 2009 season will be played on September 5th against Florida Atlantic and kickoff is set for 6:00 PM CT. This will be the fourth time in the past six seasons that the Huskers will open up the season under the lights at Memorial Stadium.
After the game against Florida Atlantic, the Huskers will come right back to Memorial Stadium the following Saturday to play Arkansas State on September 12th at 1:00 PM CT. After heading to Blacksburg, VA to take on Virginia Tech, the Huskers will return home on September 26th to face Louisiana-Lafayette at 6:00 PM CT.
The three non-conference home games are being televised on a pay-per-view basis because they were not selected for over-the-air broadcast or cable television coverage. So Husker fans, get ready to shell out $30 per game unless you are lucky enough to have a ticket or are heading to a sports bar.

I hate to have to do the pay-per-view thing, but because I am unfortunate enough to live in So-Cal I have to. Not even the local sports pubs will be showing the Big Red here. But paying the pay-per-view price is still better than hoping ESPN game plan has any of your games and then seeing only one for the $140 they charge. GBR
