It came has a pretty big surprise to most Husker fans on Saturday that were in attendance at the spring game when Ndamukong Suh announced that he would be donating a total of $2.6 million dollars to the University of Nebraska. Remember, Suh just graduated in December with an Engineering degree so you can tell what a great person he is at such a young age.

The donation will be split up $2 million to the strength & conditioning in the North Stadium and $600,000 will go to scholarships in the engineering departement. Suh has said he would like a bigger space for agility in the weight room and also tv’s in every players locker in the locker room.

“I had a fantastic football career at Nebraska and thanks to my coaches and support staff, I have learned the value of hard work, teamwork and life skills,” Suh said. “These skills will help me tremendously as I prepare for my career in the NFL. As a thank you to everyone in Nebraska who has assisted me on my collegiate journey, I want to donate $2 million to the Athletic Department.”

Suh will have naming rights to the weight room per terms in the agreement with the university. As far as the engineering scholarships, he requested that kids from his high school Grant High School in Portland, OR be first on the list to receive it to help with out of state tuition prices.

Ndamukong Suh is a great ambassador for the University of Nebraska and the football team. He has already helped out so much and he is already giving back in more ways than just giving money to the university. Recruiting has really picked up as defensive line recruits want to be just like him and learn under the coaching staff. Great things are to come for Mr. Suh and they all begin Thursday night when the first round of the NFL draft takes place.

Thank you Ndamukong Suh!
