Nebraska offensive linemen recruit Trevor Robinson from Elkhorn has informed the Nebraska coaching staff that he is going to be taking a look at Michigan and Notre Dame once again. There were rumors going around on a few message board a few days ago talking about this but most Husker fans thought they were just rumors that Notre Dame fans were starting up.
Lets hope that Trevor sticks to his pledge with the Huskers and that Dan Hoch, Bryce Givins, and Blaine Gabbert talk to him and see what he is thinking. Gabbert has been a bigtime help in recruiting other prospects to Nebraska so hopefully he can help keep Trevor with the Big Red.
The Nebraska Football team got verbal committments from a junior college linebacker and a highschool linebacker from Ohio over the weekend.
Shaun Mohler is the junior college linebacker from Orange Coast Community College in California. He originally comitted to Cal six weeks ago but then said he was open and taking a visit to Nebraska. He loved the facilities and the opportunity to come in and play right away. Mohler will have three years to complete two years of eligibility. He’s on schedule to graduate from Orange Coast in May, he said.
The highschool linebacker to commit is Doug Rippy from Columbus Ohio. He is 6-2 and 218 lbs right now and is a pretty dominate linebacker. Ohio State fans say they would have been offering him a scholarship except they are on a really low scholarship limit for this recruiting class. Time will tell if this is a steal for the Huskers!
Welcome to the Husker Family!

The Nebraska Football team picked up its 5th commit from the state of Nebraska today as Crete star John Levorson didn’t wait long to accept a scholarship offer after hearing he was being offered around noon today.
Levorson accumulated nearly 1,800 yards of total offense and earned first-team All-Nebraska honors by The World-Herald as a defensive back. He was the honorary captain of the Class B all-state team and also starred in track and field, running the 100-meter dash in 10.8 seconds and clearing 6 feet, 5 inches in the high jump.
Levorson is expected to start out as a saftey project but could also see some time in the linebacker position or wide receiver depending on how how he puts on weight and muscle in Dave Kennedy’s program. Either way, a redshirt will be happening his first year so he can get quicker and stronger.
Welcome to the Husker Family Mr. Levorson!
The Nebraska Football team is losing on of their defensive backs today as Corey Young has decided to leave the team and head out of state to continue playing football. He said his reasoning is nothing against the program, he just preferred to get out of the state and continue playing.
Could he be headed to Iowa where three former Millard North players are currently on the roster? He didn’t say yes or no, other then his former highschool coach will be placing some calls to schools for him.
Young did play in 11 games for the Huskers last year. Mostly on special teams so he will be missed in that part of the game for sure.
