The Nebraska Football team picked up a much needed safety prospect Monday afternoon when P.J. Smith commited to the program. Smith said he felt at home when he took his visit to Lincoln a few weekends ago, and got along with the coaching staff very well. He turned down scholarship offers from Arkansas, Tulane, TCU, Purdue, Mississippi and Baylor.
Smith played at a nationally ranked high school at John Curtis High School in River Ridge, La. He has played some good competition, and should be a great addition for the Huskers secondary. He says he is aware of the blackshirt tradition, and can’t wait to get started.
Welcome to the Big Red Family Mr. Smith!
