NebraskaFormer Husker Baseball player Joba Chamberlain made his Major League Debut last night with the New York Yankees.  Chamberlain pitched the final two innings of the game and did not allow a run.  He did have two walks and two strikeouts in the two innings.

Chamberlain powered through the minor leagues, dominating at each level. In 18 games (15 starts) at Class A Tampa, Class AA Trenton and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this season, he went 9-2 with a 2.45 ERA and an opponent batting average of .198. In 881/3 innings, he allowed 27 walks and struck out 135.

It will be fun to see Joba do well for the Yankees, even though I hope they lose every game of the season :)
