The Nebraska Cornhuskers picked up three verbal commitments over the weekend has the had a pretty big recuiting weekend in Lincoln. Brothers Steven Osborne and Courtney Osborne from Garland, Texas both commited to the Huskers after their official visit. Shortly after they commited, Antonio Bell suprised the Huskers coaching staff by verbally commiting.
Steven Osborne is projected to be a wide receiver while his brother Courtney is projected to play a safety position for the Huskers. Bell will be a bigtime wide receiver target down the road and could be a big play maker in the future.

This is a prime example of why stars don’t really matter. This is a set of good athletes. Bell, to me, has a similar skill set of say Terry Glenn. I wouldn’t say he has his speed yet but all he does is get open catch the ball and make something happen in the yac box on the stat sheet(I love that box). The twins are good athletes as well. They’ll need to develop more speed but I expect they’ll settle in and be productive with their strength training, hopefully with their speed drills as well. If everything goes well they may be the next set of twins in the Blackshirt secondary. Who knows maybe even play on Sundays although obviously that’s not where things are at right now. I wish them the best and will be pulling for them as they move forward. Hmmm, maybe Nebraska’s not so bad after all. Y’all are still scared so we must be doing something right.

stars are way over rated to be completely honest…if you go back and look at players like steve slaton and pat white some very good athletes who maybe be two of the more difficult players to stop. you look back at there rivals profile and you will see they where only 3 stars.
