Ndamukong Suh was drafted right where many people thought he would be on Thursday night and is now headed to Detroit as the Lions picked him with the 2nd pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. Suh sported that big smile of his as he held up the Lions jersey with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and then told reporters “It’s amazing.” “It feels good. To have those tingles come down your body, it’s amazing.”
Suh also becomes the highest Husker drafted in the first round since wide receiver Irving Fryar, who was selected No. 1 by New England in the 1984 NFL draft and defensive end Neil Smith and offensive tackle Dean Steinkuhler who both were selected No. 2 in the 1984 and 1988 drafts.
Suh will be playing with former huskers Dominic Raiola, Fabian Washington and Kyle Vandenbosh.
Congrats to Mr. Suh and to the Detroit Lions who picked up a great player and an even better person!
