Dish Network Omaha
Coach Callahan has issued a statement saying that senior wide receiver Maurice Purify will only be suspended for the first game of the year for his alcohol problems. Callahan said that Purify has followed all their rules, has gotten the help he needs too, and done everything he has been asked to do so he feels that one game is enough. Purify will be doing a lot of community service around Lincoln, take random drug / alcohol tests, and cannot be seen in a bar or he will be off the team for good.
I know a lot of college football fans are going to be like, “WHAT, ONLY ONE GAME?” I agree that it should have been atleast two, but it seems like Mo has really been doing what the coaching staff and legal system has wanted the past six weeks. Lets hope he keeps his head on straight!
