We haven’t blogged a whole lot about the Greg Paulus situation here at Nebsports but tomorrow Mr. Paulus is expected to announce his decision. There is a 10 AM ET teleconference scheduled where Paulus is expected to pick between Syracuse or Nebraska.
I know some people are thinking why have Paulus here for one year since that is all the eligibility he has. However, the reason you take a kid like this is because it would probably allow both Latravis Washington and Cody Green to redshirt next year. I would rather have those guys on the roster for a extra year down the road and take Paulus to possibly be a backup then have to waste a year on Washington or Green.
In the end I don’t think we will even have to worry about it. I predict that Paulus will choose his hometown school and play for the Orange in the Carrier Dome.
Check back tomorrow and we will have a update up right when we hear what the decision is.
