The Nebraska Cornhuskers received a verbal commitment from Donovan Vestal on Saturday as Vestal announced his college decision on the day of his birthday. Vestal is a defensive end from Arlington, Texas and is the first commitment in the 2010 class from the state of Texas.
Vestal said that he struck up a big relationship with coach Beck and coach Papuchis which played a big role in his commitment.
Vestal chose the Huskers over scholarship offers from Arizona, Arkansas, Baylor, Houston, Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Rice, SMU, and UTEP.
